THE 3 MAJOR NYC AIRPORTS


John F. Kennedy International is located in the borough of Queens and handles mostly international flights.

Newark Liberty International Airport is located in the city of Newark, in the state of New Jersey. Don't let that fool you--it's considered one of the 3 New York City airports. It handles both domestic and international flights. Although it's a little further from NYC than the other two, it is a bit cleaner, less crowded, and boasts more modern facilities. La Guardia Airport also in Queens, mainly handles domestic flights. If you're flying in from anywhere in the U.S., chances are you'll come through here.
