The Staten Island Zoo: A Hidden Gem For Families

The Staten Island Zoo is one of the hidden gems of NYC—
particularly for families with young children. This is the place
that our son first rode a pony, explored the habitats of young animals, and attended an early morning session of “Breakfast with the Beasts.” Most people don’t know that
the Staten Island Zoo even has their own wonderful aquarium!
The beauty of this zoo is that it is small enough to visit in one day. All said, they house more than 800 species! The Children's Center has one of the BEST petting zoos that features an area where kids can feed domesticated animals such as goats, deer, and donkeys. The education programs are fantastic! I encourage all families with young children to visit and enjoy!
MY RECOMMENDATIONS AND TIPS
