for ice skating in NYC! It’s a wonderful, affordable, winter sport that can be enjoyed by all. Many of you know about Rockefeller Center, but there are many other awesome and cheap places for this wonderful sport?

Consider the Polar Rink at the American Museum of Natural history, Bryant Park (FREE!), Central Park, and South Street Seaport (very cheap!)! Read on to learn about all the great opportunities that await you complete with applicable, secret discounts, of course!

Bryant Park

Byrant Park is the only FREE rink in Manhattan, New York City. You’ll find a 170’ x 100’ rink (about twice the size of Rockefeller Center’s ice skating rink) and high quality rental skates! But don’t plan to just ice skate, there is plenty more to do! Click here and read on!

Rockefeller Center

Ice Skating at Rockefeller Center is THE quintessential New York City experience. You MUST do it at least once in your life! The lights, visitors, flags, gold Prometheus statue, and absolutely SPECTACULAR Christmas tree, just make you feel, well, happy! Get the facts here.

Wollman Rink (Now Trump) in Central Park

There's nothing more beautiful than ice skating in NYC's Central Park. The Trump Wollman Rink can be found on the east side of Central Park near The Plaza Hotel and the Central Park Zoo. Ice skating opens on Saturday, October 22, 2016 and runs through March 2017.

Admission Fees: Cash Only

Monday - Thursday Admission Fee: Adults: $12.00, Kids under 11: $6.00, Seniors: $5.00.
Friday - Sunday and Holiday Admission Fee: Adults: $19.00, Kids under 11: $6.00, Seniors $9.00
Skate Rentals: $9

Skating Sessions

Mondays and Tuesdays: 10:00 AM - 2:30 PM
Wednesdays and Thursdays: 10:00 AM - 10:00 PM
Fridays and Saturdays: 10:00 AM - 11:00 PM
Sundays: 10:00 AM - 9:00 PM

The Rink at Brookfield Place

Brookfield Place, the riverfront development that use to be know as the World Financial Center, provides beautiful views, great ice skating and a wonderful food court. It offers--for whatever reason--one of the least-crowded skating rinks in Manhattan.  You'll have lots of room to skate and twirl! The food court offers yummy food such as Sprinkles (cupcakes), Num Pang,  (Cambodian Sanwiches)Num Pang), Blue Ribbon (sushi), Blue Bottle (coffee), and more including lots of places for hot cocoa. 

Monday–Friday: 1pm–8:30pm
Saturday–Sunday:  10am–10pm 

Admission Fees:
$15 single session (90 mins) 
$5 skate rental
$200 Individual Season Pass 
$500 Family of 3 season pass 

Free weekday skating to Battery Park City residents opening day through December 22nd. This will be available Monday through Friday to residents who can show proof of address in the following zip codes: 10282, 10280, 10004 and 10281. Not available on holidays.


Brookfield Place, 230 Vesey Street. It is located in Battery Park City, and bordered by West Street, the Hudson River, Vesey and Liberty Streets.
