Living in NY, sometimes we residents can take for granted, what the city has to offer. While this city can be expensive there are lots of economical things you can do.
My girlfriend and I drove into the city and stayed at a boutique hotel on the Westside. From our base camp, we visited the Museum of Natural History. Did you know that the entrance is FREE (donations are suggested)?? Living here and having not visited the museum since I was a child, I didn't realize entrance is a suggested donation. I found this out by visiting this very site.
You can save money, however, if you attend, please donate so everyone can share in, well the history.
Next, we went to dinner at Ruth's Chris Steakhouse in Time Square, sounds expensive right? Answer is yes--it can be. However I again consulted this site and found out that Ruth's Chris has a pre-fix menu (3 courses for $42).
I won't bore you with rest of the trip, but we have lots of fun and at a reasonable price.
